Dannii Minogue thinks 'more is better' once it involves swimwear.
The Australian singer - who additionally owns fashion line Project D aboard designer Tabitha county Webb - thinks it's higher for girls to hide up than show it all off once they move to the beach, for confidence and skin safety.
Writing in UK's Glamour magazine, she said: 'When it comes to swimwear (and all wear if we're honest) more can be better. A glimpse of skin and a hint of décolletage can be so much sexier than squeezing into a two-sizes-too-small bikini, not to mention sun smart.
'A kaftan or summery maxi dress is a girl's best beach buddy enabling you to move effortlessly from poolside to pool bar.'
However, Dannii - whose designs have been worn by Pippa Middleton and Elizabeth Hurley - is also a fan of a tankini because it is modest without being restrictive.
She added: 'A tankini - a two-piece with a high that covers your tummy - may be a nice different to the normal swimming costume, providing the modesty of a one-piece while not the modification you generally feel with swimsuits.'
